Albemarle County Public Schools to Install Solar on Six Schools
Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) will be the first public school division in Virginia to enter into a Power Purchase Agreement after reaching a formal agreement with Staunton, Va. based solar development firm Secure Futures LLC to install solar photovoltaic (PV) arrays on six public schools in Albemarle County.
University of Richmond to Install Solar on REC Center
Secure Futures and the University of Richmond have reached an agreement to install a 204 kW solar photovoltaic system on the roof of the campus’s Weinstein Recreation and Wellness Center. The agreement will be the first of its kind under the Power Purchase Agreement Pilot Program signed onto law in 2013.
